李炽昌，英国爱丁堡大学哲学博士（希伯来圣经研究），山东大学人文社科一级教授，博士生导师，中国文化研究所名誉高级研究员。曾任香港中文大学文化及宗教研究系资深教授，历任香港中文大学宗教系主任，文学院副院长、院长等职务。

    研究领域：

    希伯来圣经的社会─政治及宗教─文化处境，探究古代两河流域及迦南地之宗教文化对圣经的影响；近年发展之研究兴趣包括跨文本阅读、比较经典诠释及太平天国释经等。

    主要学术兼职：

    亚洲圣经研究协会（SABS）创会主席 

    圣经研究协会（SBL）董事            

    此外，李炽昌教授于1998-2001年度，受英国剑桥大学宗教学与神学高级研究中心邀请，出任“亚洲基督教”研究计划主任
